                                      Metiz: Kiev, Ukraine

Metiz, as far as I can tell, was a factory making high quality photographic equipment during the 1930's. I don't know if they actually produced cameras as I've never seen one, but I have many 12x9cm photo plates, as well as roll film backs and two-sided photo plates from this factory. Someone told me they had a wooden camera from this period, made in Kiev, but I have no further information. At this time the Arfo and Fotokor cameras were being produced in Moskow and Leningrad. If anyone has information about Metiz, or any photos of an actual camera please contact me.
