Soviet Camera Exhibition:

History of the Soviet Photographic industry 1930-1992

Kiev Street Fashions

This exhibition has been put together by myself and several other Ukrainian collectors and is to be presented to various venues in Europe in the coming summer and autumn.

The aim of the exhibition is to show the development and progression of the industry from the first production runs of the Fotokor and Arfo through to the Kiev 19A, Kiev 88 and Lomo Compact. It will also feature many of the prototypes and experimental cameras and lenses of the era as well as some specialist medical, space and military productions. Along with books, magazines and advertising material we will display cameras, lenses and accessories from the 5 main soviet factories in Kharkov, Moskow, Kiev, Minsk and Leningrad. Around two hundred cameras and twenty cine-cameras will be on display with plenty of historical background and photographs from the factories, blueprints of unfinished designs and photos taken with the cameras and lenses.
