Kiev Street Fashions

In the late 50's Arsenal introduced the 'Vega' a copy of the Minolta 16. There followed a whole series of versions, ending with the Kiev 303 (Produced until 1993) and the 'John Player Special' cigarette packet camera, which contained the mechanics of the '303'

Vega (1a) 1957

First Vega was produced in silver or gold, fixed focus 28mm Industar 14 lens.

This is the Vega 2, an upgraded design, 28mm Industar lens with apertures from 3,5 to 11 and shutter speeds 30, 60 and 200. Focusing wheel and exposure indicator.

Kiev 30

Penultimate version of the Kiev 'Vega' 16mm series.     

 

Kiev 30M

budget version without the flash sync or exposure calculator.

Kiev 303

Final version. plastic body in 3 colours Red, Green and Black. 4 shutter speeds

250, 125, 60 & 30. No flash sync.
